    • Attention is not taken away from the main purpose of the event.

    • Informal, intimate and personal where guests are engaged close up as individuals, small groups or tables. Magician normally performs standing up.

    • Interactions are normally 3 - 5 minutes per group. Highly-interactive form of magic that gets people involved.

    • Great for events like company banquets, wedding receptions, corporate celebrations, proms/grad nights, grand openings, networking events, meet & greets, dinners, and ball room events, and even intermissions at live theater events. Also great in restaurants and bars.

    • Great way to elevate your event and make it truly memorable.

    • Could be a prelude to another type of show show later on.

  • Close-up/Table Magic

    • Similar to Walkaround but done in a slightly more formal setting with a group.

    • Magician normally performs seated at table.

    • Spectators are standing or seated with about 10 feet of the table.

    • Good for groups of less than 20 people.

    • Still highly interactive with most of the spectators.

    • Length of performance is usually between 15 -20 minutes, but could go longer,

    • Good for events where you want to take a break , enjoy some magic, then get back to the party or perhaps start or wrap up the event with some magic.

    • Good for small house parties, birthday parties, small office events, etc,

  • Parlour/Platform/Standup/Cabaret

    • More formal presentation done for r audiences than than close-up.

    • It is less intimate than close up but more intimate than stage magic.

    • Some effects will be similar to close-up and walk-around but many will take in to account the greater distance to the spectators, I.E., they will be "larger."

    • Magician will normally perform standing up and will probably make use of a table.

    • Spectators will be engaged but only a few will get a hands on experience.

    • Good for up to about 40 people seated where they can see and hear the the performer and get to where the performer.

Great for larger parties/events where the number of people is not suitable for a close-up event.

    • Length of performance is usually between 15-30 minutes but could go longer.

  • Stage Show/Stand-up Act/Group Show/Headline Act

    • Formal Show. Very structured using "large: effects.

    • Performance will be from a stage or presentations area.

    • Magician will perform standing up and will make use of a table and often large scale props and effects.

    • Only one or two spectators, if any, will get a hand's on experience of magic although everyone will be able to see what happens.

    • Suitable for groups over 40 people where they can be seated to see the performance and have access to the stage area if needed.

    • Length of the performance will usually be about 25-30 minutes but could go for up to 90 minutes

    • Should be a focal point of the event.

These types of performances can be adapted to meet the needs of your event.

I would love discuss your ideas for your event with you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to provide anything for you for you?

You will need to provide a space suitable for the performance we have agreed on. This might include providing a small table or a chair that a case can be placed on. A glass or bottle of water would be much appreciated. Performing magic is thirsty work.

I make ask you for some information about your guests in advance. For example, for a birthday party or wedding anniversary I might ask for the the relevant details of those people. This way I can make sure I am well prepared to give them a truly personalized magical experience.
